We took delivery of this fridge on 10/17/2025. It replaced our old 41 year old Hotpoint fridge that was the last original appliance still working from when we bought the house new. The Hotpoint was getting noisy but still doing its job, but we were convinced it was on borrowed time. We have been most happy thus far with this Frigidaire, and particularly like the deep shelves built into the door.

Absolutely DO NOT BUY the Frigidaire 30 inch 18.3 cubic foot top freezer refrigerator model FFTR1835VS / FFTR1835VSA. I was unfortunate enough to buy this shiny stainless steel storage cabinet that once identified as a refrigerator. Problem is, one year and five months after purchase it is dead. No longer cooling the refrigerator or freezer. As I began looking into this issue, I revisited the online reviews for this particular model and was shocked. I checked a number of different retailers and very quickly discovered a disturbing trend. There are an alarming number of reviews for this model showing rapid failure rates. If you're one of the lucky owners that has theirs fail within the warranty period, count yourself blessed... for now. If you're like me, and many others, it failed after the one year warranty leaving you with only 2 options per Frigidaire "support". Option 1 is to pay a flat $335 repair fee which Frigidaire says "...removes the stress of unknown repair costs when our technicians are on-site." OR pay an initial $123 service trip fee for diagnosis and then likely pay more than the $335 flat fee in parts and labor once diagnosed. If you're ever purchased a cheap printer with short lived ink cartridges that cost a small fortune to replace you no doubt recognize this business model. I've never owned an appliance this short lived. A company that has been building refrigeration units since 1916 can't build a unit in 2024 that lasts longer than a year and a half? They are either grossly incompetent or masters of planned obsolescence engineering. When I posted my initial review on the Home Depot site, Frigidaire support responded as they did with many other negative reviews highlighting the same issue. They don't want to actually HELP you with a clearly defective product, they just want to extract more money from you in the end. Since this thing is so "well engineered", why fix it with the same crap parts that already failed in less than a year and a half? I have a better idea. I'm never going to buy anything from Frigidaire ever again and I'm highly tempted to give this shiny little piece of trash and Office Space style send off when I replace it with ANY other brand not owned by them (them being Electrolux).Save your time. If you want to remove the "stress of unknown repair costs" as Frigidaire support suggests, do yourself a favor... avoid Frigidaire entirely. They don't deserve your consideration. LED lighting, choice of three colors, reliability, and a fair price makes this refrigerator a good value in the ™low end™ market. There are less expensive brands, but not with all the features you need. The interior of the main cabinet has adjustable glass shelves, a sliding meat tray, and ventilated produce bins. The door can hold gallon beverages and tall bottles, but does not have a butter door or a divided egg compartment. The manual for the fridge said it may be noisy s the compressor runs continuously- mine doesn™™t and the appliance is quiet. There is an optional ice maker, but the reviews are poor as it breaks down often. I am taking off one star for the freezer section. The same amount of food that fit in my previous freezer does not fit in this one. I had to thaw and eat the extra food or throw it out. The shelves on the freezer door are also short in height which limits what will fit there. For example, I always stored bottles of water on the door to freeze for work; now a bottle of water cannot fit on either shelf. Only small bags of food or small loaves of bread fit on the shelves. The freezer does have an adjustable shelf, but there is no light.

Needed a new refrigerator for our garage and looked around and saw this one and loved the size and looks. It replaced an older two door Frigidaire that I had for about 10 years. This one seems bigger with one door and holds everything fine and much colder with it being in the garage in this Texas heat. I am pleased and love it.

My recent purchase for the frigidaire refrigerator was for our home and the product is excellent for our family (of 4: 2 adults, 2 children) and the refrigerator is well designed with adequate storage space in the upper freezer section, and insice the lower refrigerator section (as well on the inner side of the door, there is good shelving. The unit is also quite quiet when running and updating the temperatures for the freezer and refrigerator sections. Very satisfied with the product.

My Frigidaire model is terrific with well designed inside shelve space inside and on the inside of the door. There is adequate space in bottom of the space for vegetable and/or fruit containers. The freezer space in my model is located in the top of my model and convenient for easy loading and removal of food items that require extra cool temperatures, and as well ice cube storage. The outside of my model also has a nice appearance and the unit is also quiet when operating.

My old fridge had handles that stuck out and everytime you bent down to get something out of the fridge and raised up I would nearly give myself a concussion from hitting the edge of the freezer handle. The refrigerator handle would never stay tight and was always loose no matter what I tried to tighten it up even Loctite didn't fix it. It also had wire shelves that make it hard to set some items on without tipping over and hard to slide stuff in to. Only had 2 drawers in the bottom that never opened easily. The storage on the door was just a bar across and everything would slide out below the bar when you opened it. So I was looking for a fridge with no handles if possible, with glass shelves, better storage in the door and with at least 3 storage drawers. This Frigidaire refrigerator met and exceeded everything I was looking for. It has no handles and the doors close easily and seal so no finding the fridge has half thawed from a door not sealing right. It has beautiful glass shelves that are deep and easy to load items on and easy to clean. Came with 3 storage drawers that are roomy. The door has shelves with deep storage and nothing slides out. Keeps everything well cooled and the freezer is roomy and easy to arrange. So this frige earns a 5 Star rating.
