Flow sensor too sensitive

The flow sensor is too sensitive. I had to have a cleaner come and clean our duct to get the dryer to work at all. Once that was done it still will not completely dry everything without having to stop and restart it to get it past the flow sensor shut down. The book says you cant have too long an exhaust duct but I cant replace the one I have in the house as it goes up and out the roof.

I bought this dryer a month ago and have thoroughly using it. The quick dry time and heat this dryer pushes out are great. It may take some time to get used to selecting the right setting but overall this is a great dryer. The reason I selected 4 stars is because for the price there should have been a light on the inside of the dryer. I also wish I could use the app like I do for the LG washer I have as this would be handy. I love that I dry a Kind size comforter almost completely with one cycle. Overall the dryer is great

Working fine after defect remedied

The original dryer wouldnt work. The replacement dryer wouldnt work. A technician discovered that the plastic button that tells the dryer that the door is closed was not big enough to actually register it closed so it wouldnt run. This is a design/manufacturing defect and took over a week to resolve. Obviously this is a known defect and should be corrected before selling more machines.

The Verdict Is Still Out

As soon as the dryer was delivered I hooked it up and tried it out. The delivery guys were barely out the driveway. The dryer would not turn on. After spending about 45 minutes on the phone with LG Tech Support they said it was throwing a code that the door was not closed. I assured them it was closed. They said to work with Home Depot to get a replacement. After another two weeks I finally got another dryer. Hooked it up tried it out and so far so good. But I need more time to run it through its paces before I can be fair in my evaluation. I gave this review a 2 star because the Verdict is still out. In all fairness to LG I will probably raise my rating once I have a chance to try it out.

The washing machine does a great job in cleaning the clothes and getting them very dry so that the dryer does not take as long those clothes always come out with less wrinkles this is worth the upgrade

Strange control setting

Only issue with this fantastic dryer is the very confusing Energy Saver. The initial use on large load high heat and delicate low heat was excellent however when the normal medium heat was selected it just tumbled with no heat. After many e-mails calls and live discussions a repair man came out to fix the dryer. Turns out there was nothing wrong with the dryer--it defaults to running ~15 minutes with no heat on the medium settings. How this saves energy is unknown and if it is normal it should be explained in the How to Operate section. Explanation is in the Trouble Shoot section under No Heat but when it heats on high and low it is not an obvious place to look. Now that I know what Energy Saver is the dryer works great--looks great and does a great job drying.

Weve had this a few weeks now. Weve already had issues with it not working the drum not spinning. LG support has not been helpful. When it does work my tshirts have come out very wrinkled like they never have before even when getting them out right away. Would not recommend.

The drying cycle is 10 to 15 minutes longer than our old dryer. It also requires a second drying cycle on many occasions to get clothes dry which leads me to believe it is not energy efficient. Often times if I feel the top of the dryer med-cycle it is cold as if the heat is not on. I cannot select high heat on the normal cycle which means longer drying times. All in all it is taking longer to dry my clothes at a higher cost.

Its so bad. Just dont do it to yourself. Weve had two machines this model and the rattles on both of them have been so loud we have to plan when to put laundry in when our kids are sleeping. We still have not had a fix for this second one there have been 2 different repair men out and it really feels like no one cares dont do it to yourself. Also it doesnt have a light in the dryer. I didnt care about that however I know many people do. Please dont do it to yourself. Its awful.

It actually dries even a waterproof blanket

I had my last dryer for over 20 years and if I hadnt been moving across country I would have just repaired it again. Instead I replaced both washer and dryer and chose LG after doing research online. I havent had it long so Ive only used it a few times but it worked great I had to was a waterproof blanket that smelled really bad after being in storage. In my old dryer I would set it to use the sensor then Id have to add 20 minutes then Id usually drape it over a chair over night to finish drying. The new dryer has a special setting for waterproof items and it works The blanket came out barely damp. I threw it over a chair just to be sure it was really dry but in less than an hour I was convinced I could safely fold it up. I do think it is noisier than my old dryer but since I have 3 dryer balls in there its going to be noisy anyway. The lint screen cleans really easily and the machine reminds you if it hasnt been done. So far I think I made a good choice.

Dont buy LG poor support poor design not energy efficient. Very misleading marketing to claim energy efficiency when only one cycle is rated that way. Take 90 minutes to wash towels. Dryer designed for wet dry and takes forever to dry. Cusimer support not able to answer questions to support actual model. Products dont have wifi but no one could answer that question since they dont have a manual for my actual product just the series.

I purchased this dryer 3 weeks ago. When it was delivered it was unpacked at the back of the truck. I requested them to get it as close to my house as possible but they decided to bounce it across a gravel drive. I live on a farm. They installed the dryer. Did not level it. On my second load of clothes it started making a vibrating noise. My husband leveled it the noise continued. I did not know if the dryer was damaged or if it was the product. I returned for a different product since I have never owned an LG before. I did not trust that it was not just damage. The dryer did not dry my clothes on the sensory levels. I did not know if it was damage or the LG.

Along with the LG washer the dryer is great. Our old dryer is the only thing that need replacing but we decided to get the pair. We like how it dries and decides on its own whether the clothes need to be dried a little longer than the time indicated on the setting.

Dryer is very big and handles more items than my previous dryer. A multitude of drying options lets me choose what type of drying mode fits the load being dried. It senses dryness to insure clothing and other items are dried to the proper level. Very satisfied so far.
